HabAid is a charity that raises money for underprivileged children. Founded in the 1960's and originally called Habad Children Aid Society, to support the Kfar Habad vocational Schools. In 1956 five young boys were murdered by terrorists whilst studying. In dedication to their memory Kfar Habad vocational schools were founded with a handful of children and devoted teachers. In 2008 the school at Kfar Habad regretfully closed due to a number of factors. As a result the UK committee decided to amend its Constitution and to support worthy causes for children in Israel and the UK. The committee is made up of a team of dedicated volunteers who give their time, money and expertise completely free. They all work tirelessly throughout the year to generate funds for the worthy causes we now support.
