internship.uoregon.eduFounded in 1998, the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program at the University of Oregon is part of the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. We train students in the real-world knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in industry, national labs, research institutes - and at the interview table. We believe an advanced degree should help you land a job and prepare you for a successful career. It turns out many employers agree with us! Some of our metrics include: • 98% graduation rate • 15 -18 months to degree completion • 90% of graduates are employed within 3 months • $58,200 annualized internship compensation for the 2019 cohort Program Overview Our targeted and comprehensive training process equips students with the assets most valued by employers: technical expertise, hands-on experience and professional skills (including communication, leadership, and teamwork). Students gain these skills through focused labs, course work, professional development training and a 9-month paid internship. Program tracks span the fields of engineering, physics, chemistry and biology and include: • Bioinformatics & Genomics • Molecular Sensors & Probes • Polymer Science • Semiconductor & Photovoltaic Device Processing • Optical Materials & Devices
