Mediphany was founded by Dr. Josh Polster, Vice Chairman of the Imaging Office of Innovations in the Imaging Institute of Cleveland Clinic, and Dr. Evan Mason, a neuroradiologist in private practice. After encountering countless patients coming in for image-guided procedures completely confused by their radiology reports or having never seen their images, Josh and Evan made it their mission to better explain imaging results to patients. Wishing to provide patients with more control over their medical care, they formed Mediphany - a company designed to enable patients to gain a complete understanding of their imaging results through narrative, personalized video reports, supportive educational materials, and visual comparisons to normal anatomy.
