The Anti-Doping Database
www.dopinglist.comThe Anti-Doping Database is a project started by former sports journalist Trond Husø. The Norwegian created the website and the database in 2005. The idea behind the ADDB is to have an online tool for journalists that they can use to create better news stories related to Anti-Doping issues - and in most cases where an athlete has been suspended for violating anti-doping regulations. As a sports journalist Trond Husø noticed that most stories had the name of the athlete and for which substance the athlete had received a sanction for using. He also noticed that there was a lack of information, for instance - how many suspensions has been made in - for instance Norway - and for this particular substance. For that reason the database project was started, and the number of registered doping cases in the database is going up.
