Iowa newest and only growing major political party. Following the historic performance in Iowa of Governors Johnson and Weld in the 2016 Presidential election, the Libertarian Party of Iowa earned major party status under Iowa law. We represent 10,000 Libertarian voters and are providing Iowans with a different choice at the polls with our socially tolerant and fiscally prudent positions that respect both economic and individual liberty.
