Société des Biscuits Olibet was founded in 1840 by Jean-Honoré Olibet. The Company was in fact a pioneer in persuading French people to embrace a new-style confectionery product based on a process combining traditional ‘home-made’ recipes with industrial production techniques. Société des Biscuits Olibet remained a leader during France’s 40-­year Belle Epoque, which spanned the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
