What is Skogul? Pronounced skō-gŭl The word skogul means shaker or high-towering in Old Norse. It is also the name given to one of the Valkyries that appears in various poems and works of literature in Norse Mythology. In a 10th century poem, Odin sends the Skogul to choose among the warriors on the battlefied who is worthy to dwell in Valhalla. When we read this, we knew it was a name we wanted to adopt, and an ideal we would strive for. For us, it correlates to the all too familiar scenario of those who have toiled in offices and cubicles, for themselves and for other companies, but have not yet reached the top. That's why we love the name, and wear it proudly.
