WhaleFest is the biggest event of its kind in the World - a Community Interest Company (social enterprise), run by 850+ volunteers and small fire staff team, that is: 1. the World's biggest public festival for marine wildlife and the oceans 2. additional events that raise funds and awareness for the marine environment - such as March of the Mermaids 3. a consultancy advising on marine conservation and tourism events worldwide Our main event is in Brighton every March. Three days of entertainment, science and education, movies, music, marine organisations, incredible kids activities, exhibitors and much more. Over 15,000 people took part in 2015 (attendance has doubled each year) and presenters have included Steve Backshall, Gok Wan, Michaela Strachan, Gordon Buchanan, Bill Oddie, Doug Allan, Monty Halls and many more. Our vision is to give marine life a bigger voice and inspire the next generation to protect our oceans. We don’t treat our oceans with respect: we pollute, over use, and carelessly destroy 70% of our blue planet Yet our lives, marine creature’s lives, the next generation’s lives, all depend on them 
 Without them there wouldn’t be enough oxygen to breathe, water to drink, food to eat, or a climate to live in 
 Whales, dolphins, sharks, turtles, rays... these charismatic creatures can inspire a child’s respect for life and passion for our blue planet
