The Association inherits a culture of excellence, professionalism left behind by its visionary founders since its inception, to forge a sustained link between its Alumni members and the Alma Mater joining hands together in the cause of fostering and enhancing academic pursuits. Today, the Alumni Association has a membership strength of nearly 15000+ members, spread across the globe; many of whom occupy prestigious positions in the premier Universities, National Laboratories, Aero-Space Agencies, Government & Defence Establishments, Fortune 500 MNCs etc,. Many of our members are successful industrialists and entrepreneurs in the country, adding impetus to the growth of the economy. Many of our members are into basic research and development activities in various fields. Enriched with a treasure of knowledge, our members are a driving force helping bridge Science and Technological needs of the country. The Alumni Association is managed by Governing Council consisting of the Director, Indian Institute of Science as it’s Patron with an Executive Council (EC) consisting of 14 members (Read More). The members of the Executive Committee are duly elected by its’ members, through an electoral franchise. The Executive Council form the core of the management of the Association. The elected members of the EC shall hold their office for two successive years from the date elected. All decisions are taken in the Executive Committee meetings in accordance with the bye-laws and procedures laid out for the purpose. The main objectives of the Alumni Association are to bring all alumni spread across the globe into a single network and connect among them and with the Institute to strengthen the bond between its’ members and the Institute and work towards shared common interest.
