For more than 30 years, Margaret Malicki has served Capital Region not for profits in their efforts to build strategic plans, engage the community, and meet funding goals. Her commitment has helped organizations maximize opportunities to better serve their constituencies and strengthen their surrounding communities. Margaret has served as the philanthropic counsel on 25 capital and endowment campaigns raising more than $112 million to date. Campaigns have ranged from working with organizations with limited staff and a goal of $500,000 to a full development team who ultimately reached its $10 million goal. Additionally, Margaret has strengthened major gift programs and annual campaigns, worked with boards to bolster their roles in development, built strategic plans that get results, and conducted assessments of development efforts. Prior to beginning as a consultant in 2000, Margaret worked with Siena College and Holy Cross Family Ministries, an international organization now located in MA. Margaret received her bachelor’s degree from Siena College and also earned a master’s degree from the University of Albany. Margaret values the role of a volunteer and being involved. As a volunteer she has done everything from dialing phones, to painting rooms, to serving on soup kitchen lines.
