Common Ground Spirits is founded on the belief that while we are all unique individuals, we can always create and find common ground. Founders, Julian Peebles and Tory Brown found common ground in their passion for their families and their motivation for continuous success. Julian and Tory first met in the tech industry in the early 2000s. They quickly found common ground in their love of sports, coaching, and mentoring younger generations. Over the years, they successfully pursued their careers in the tech industry and have now decided to venture in the spirits industry as the founders of Common Ground Spirits. Julian and Tory have enjoyed bourbon for many years and developed a curiosity in making their own craft bourbon product. In 2019 the journey began. They tasted a large number of different bourbons and whiskeys to better understand the key characteristics and flavor profiles they enjoyed the most. The next step in the process was to find a distiller that could translate their dreams and copious notes into a craft bourbon product. This dream was realized when the first barrels of Common Ground Spirits were filled in May 2020. The first release of bourbon will be in mid 2024. While Julian and Tory are allowing their craft bourbon to develop, they have decided to release a gin product – Common Ground Spirits Gin 01 will be available in April 2021.
