In 1999, Horizon Entertainment became the exclusive feature film agent for Tokyo-based Studio, Kadokawa Herald Pictures, representing such renowned titles as Hideo Nakata’s THE RING, and DARK WATER, Takashi Shimizu’s JU-ON THE GRUDGE and Takashi Miike’s THE GREAT YOKAI WAR. In January of 2007, Horizon Entertainment launched subsidiary, Horizon Motion Pictures, to better leverage and distinguish its feature film and television product lines. The newly formed company will continue to cultivate Horizon’s existing brand with a broadened sales and production mandate and new executive structure. Horizon maintains a very active presence in the global marketplace, attending the Cannes Market, Berlin, the AFM, Venice, Toronto, Sundance, MIP TV and Mipcom, annually, as well as a number of other regional markets including Pusan and Hong Kong Filmart Horizon Motion Pictures has an active buyers list of over 200 clients and a marketing relationship with over 4000 buyers worldwide.
