Happy Ocean is a grassroots organization made up of Prince Edward Island residents, from all walks of life, with a common goal of creating a ripple of change to help preserve the precious gifts of our oceans, island, and planet. The Vision: -To steward our oceans and planet so they are clean and healthy for all living beings. Let's work towards a beautiful environment to enjoy today and in the future. -To encourage mindful consumption. Plastic or planet? Which do we choose? -To inspire compassionate action: Every action is a droplet creating a ripple and part of a larger wave of change. Our Purpose: For the benefit of all living beings, we end plastic pollution in our oceans and environment. Take action by raising public awareness and initiating strategic action. Our Methods: 1) To eliminate the usage and production of single-use plastic products, beginning within our immediate community and rippling out to others. 2) To enhance public awareness of and increase the adoption of a Reject Plastic primary strategy, along with the current 3R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Celebrate every successful step towards a plastic free environment. 3) To eliminate plastic waste by advocating environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional plastics. Compassionate Action: Every individual droplet (positive action) creates a ripple effect.
