As a result John has a passion for and keen understanding of "older" buildings and why people like them so much. Larger older buildings, some of them being Designated under the Ontario Heritage Act, be they residential or commercial often have to change functions in order to survive. Approximately 80% of all B & B's and Country Inns in Ontario could be characterized as Historic buildings in their own right. They may be larger former private residences, faactory buildings or other commercial structures which have been lovingly converted (some at great expense), to new uses and a new life, yet maintaining they ambience of a bygone era.
