The concept of Open Badge or certified digital medal is new in Central America. Companies and professionals are still discovering the benefits of using this tool to replace diplomas and physical certificates. All this with the guarantee of a totally secure registration environment in blockchain, the same that is used in transactions in virtual currencies such as bitcoins. The benefits are so great that around the world they already use open badges to strengthen their brands and spend more and more credibility on the market. Some examples: NASA, MIT, Harvard, Adobe, Oracle and Microsoft. The Central America Open Badge is the result of an alliance between e-Public Strategy, Brazil Open Badge, ULEAD (LEAD University) and the Costa Rica Technological Research Club.
