Pinky Swear Foundation
www.pinkyswear.orgBefore nine-year-old Mitch Chepokas died from cancer, his dad made a pinky swear promise to continue to help children with cancer and their families by providing immediate needs support and unique family programs. It is hard to imagine what life is like to have a child going through cancer; it affects the whole family. That's why our programs are so important. We do not limit requests from families, nor discriminate on socioeconomic status. When cancer enters life, the simple, everyday things aren’t so simple anymore. Since 2003, Pinky Swear Foundation has supported families’ quality-of-life with direct financial aid for basic needs, and through experiences that create emotional support, including: • Stable housing • Reliable transportation • Groceries for kids and families • Payments for bills • Worry-free, quality time together out of the hospital • Convenient, stocked food pantries in hospitals With 40,000 kids in cancer treatment each year, Pinky Swear aims to help all families with children in cancer treatment. Ways for corporations to partner include sponsoring, volunteering, or donating to programs or events. To date, over $15.5 million has been raised to support brave kids battling cancer and their families across the country.
