Visual Air is an Experienced Operator with a wide scope of operation. Cinematography: Visual Air is the oldest RPAS service supplier in the country to the film industry and has done many feature films, TV commercials and corporate videos. In the early days we were flying an Arri IIIC with 200ft 35mm film loads with our own live camera view, frame count, zoom and focus control. We were one of the first to fly the Red Epic camera for the film industry. Surveying: We started surveying early in 2000 with a Canon 5D using a petrol helicopter with DJI ACE Waypoint Autopilot. Agricultural: Visual Air has done thousands of RPAS aerial flights since 2003 for quality control of crop growth and health. Inspections & Construction: Visual Air has supplied our RPAS services to: Eskom with over 384 progress flights of Medupi Power Station from 2011. Kusile Power Station JV’s from 2010. Consulting Engineers from 2006 with our RPAS aerial data inspection services of smoke stacks, cooling towers and coal silos of Duvha, Camden, Komati, Arnot, Hendrina, Lethabo, Tutuka and Kriel Power Stations. In 2006 Visual Air demonstrated to Eskom our RPAS powerline inspections services by successfully flying a 7.6kg Multi Spectral Images between powerlines with our in-house developed 25kg RPAS. Realty & Photography: Visual Air was supplying RPAS medium format photography services for 2x AO posters and billboards in 2011 using a Mamiya 7И with 43, 50, 80 & 150mm lenses. We also supply a manned helicopter service for CBD. Air Sampling: The flying laboratory drone allows the operator to stay safely away from potentially hazardous sources while acquiring the required air sample for laboratory analysis. The sampling drone can also be used to sample ambient air at an elevation of up to 150 meters above ground level. Visual Air has done over 35 000 remotely piloted aircraft flights with a 100% safety record.
