Katal Innovations designs airbags for for safe training purposes in various action sports, specializing in freestyle ski and snowboard training. Unlike most generic airbags available on the market that feature flat landing surfaces, Katal's airbag products are designed to provide the most realistic and safe training environment possible. The focus of our products has been providing a downward sloping transition on our airbags for those action sports such as freestyle skiing and snowboarding where the real environment they are training for is landing on a downward slope. Furthermore, Katal also provides flat surface air bags for the action sports and attractions, such as high fall of events, where this design is required. Katal is owned and operated by Aaron Coret and Stephen Slen out of Vancouver, British Columbia. The company began as an Engineering project at the University of British Columbia in 2006. Both engineering students at the time, Aaron and Stephen teamed up with the goal of building the next generation safety training device to help skiers and snowboarders everywhere safely unlock their true potential for progression. That goal continues to be the drive behind Katal today.
