ICA - the Award winning center as the “Best Overseas Partner Institution 2010 for the Best Services by Indira Gandhi National Open University” was established in 1997 and has been providing educational services to the nation since then. In 2002, it became the first Partner Institution (PI) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in Nepal. The study center is approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal. It is also the only educational institution from Nepal to become the member of Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU refer www.aaou.net) .It has been providing internationally acclaimed degrees through the Distance Mode of education. ICA presently offers 41 programs through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode in Management, Humanities & Social Science, Tourism, Computer Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, Education, Rural Development and Health Science. Currently, the cumulative student strength of ICA is more than 1200. The learners enrolled in ICA are fresher’s or professionals from diverse fields such as Hospitality industry, Financial Institutions, Telecommunication, Corporate Houses, Embassies and Diplomatic agencies etc. ICA has signed an agreement with World Health Organization, Nepal to provide scholarship to the students enrolled in Certificate in Health Care Waste Management Program.
