Propcom Mai-karfi is an innovative markets development programme that aims to improve the livelihoods of rural women and men in northern Nigeria. Funded with UK aid from the UK government, we work with the private sector, development community and government to enable rural markets work better for the poor. Propcom Mai-karfi uses a ‘making markets work for the poor' (M4P) approach to stimulate changes in selected agricultural and rural market systems in northern Nigeria. The programme's goal is ‘increased incomes for the poor through enhanced employment opportunities in Northern Nigeria’.
