SFS Est. 23 February 2010 MISSION STATEMENT The MAIN PURPOSE of Students For A Free Society is to be a philosophical group that shall advocate personal liberty with individual responsibility throughout the ETSU campus and the local communities via education and activism. The SECONDARY PURPOSE of this group is to highlight social and governmental abuse and neglect of civil liberties, with the intent of raising public awareness of said abuse and neglect. How? This organization will provide speakers and varied media which focus on liberty,freedom,and to raise public awareness in general. This organization will, with as many potential viewpoints as fairly represented as possible, also provide a forum for healthy activism, discussion, and education. Service to our Community The service function of the group revolves around advocation of liberty for everyone. However, members also serve our community in other ways: This is not yet filled but we are on the path to a good start.
