Beacon Metals was founded in 1966 by John Riches. Beacon started with offerings in aluminum doors and windows, commercial hollow metal doors and frames, as well as shower enclosures. Over the years Beacon has grown to offer wood doors and several different premium lines of door hardware. Beacon Metals leased office and warehouse space in a few different buildings throughout South Salt Lake. Because of the sustained growth, Beacon Metals purchased and built our current facility on West Temple in 1986. With over 50 years in business, and recently being renamed Beacon Commercial Door & Lock, Beacon continues innovating the way doors and hardware are supplied in Division 8 both here in Utah and throughout the country. We specialize in hollow metal and wood door offerings as well as provide hundreds of hardware and access control solutions. Our in-house hollow metal shop allows us to customize material for our customers' projects and helps us cut down on lead times.
