Helping Hands – Hand Wrist, and Arm Clinic is a North Queensland, locally owned and operated multidisciplinary Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy service dedicated to hand and upper limb treatment and rehabilitation. Established in 2006 by Occupational Therapist Cassandra Chiesa, Helping Hands has grown become the North’s largest dedicated hand and upper limb therapy service with clinics on Fulham Road and at Northshore in Townsville, and in Ingham and Ayr. The therapy team manage over 10,000 appointments each year and recently grew their number of nationally accredited hand therapists on staff from two to four. The team treat everyone from elite national athletes to people with complex work injuries and children with common breaks and fractures. With their professional focus firmly on conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder, the team are highly experienced in the diagnosis, treatment and recovery for pain and injury related to the upper limb. All therapists are provided ongoing professional development to continue to build their university level skills and knowledge and have each attained postgraduate training in upper limb management. Our staff are truly dedicated to learning everything we can to help our patients, bringing the best available practices and technologies to North Queensland. We genuinely care about each and every patient who walks through our doors and take a customised approach to achieving the best outcome for their injury or condition in the fastest and best possible way.
