Youth Involved: Musicians in 7th through 12th grade may audition to participate. Musicians are selected based on their playing ability and the need of instrumentation to create a balanced orchestra. The Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony does not discriminate based on sex, race, religion, disability or national origin. Demographics: Our musicians come from the Greater Chippewa Valley. CVYS is comprised of 77 student musicians. 68 students are from high schools in their communities, four are in middle school.
