Kurzemes Business Incubator was founded in 2008 with the aim of promoting business development in Kurzeme. The Business Incubator is active in three major cities in Southern Kurzeme - Liepāja, Kuldīga and Saldus, providing business management consultancy and services to the region's small and medium enterprises, as well as promoting the development of the business environment in Kurzeme. Kurzemes Business Incubator's' aims are: * to promote cooperation between educational and scientific institutions from one side and production from the other side * to promote the creation of new technology-based and knowledge-based manufacturing small businesses * to establish contacts between research laboratories and industry * promoting international cooperation between small businesses with a view to producing high-quality, competitive products and creating new jobs for skilled professionals and researchers * to promote the formation of a society open to innovation The cooperation partners of Kurzeme Business Incubator are the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the financial institution Altum, the Green and Smart Technology Cluster, the Liepaja Special Economic Zone, the Liepaja University, as well as other business support organizations and higher education institutions.
