Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center is China’s first — and the world’s third — proton and heavy ion center opened in May, 2015. Since its inauguration, Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center/ Proton and Heavy Ion Center of FUSCC has been smoothly run in accordance with the well-established standards and under the strict rules. On December 19, 2016, the center received the 500th patient; by that time it had covered 32 kinds of cancer, producing a significant efficacy. With an accumulation of clinical experience, the center will do full justice to its therapeutic superiority, benefiting a growing number of patients.
