Shanghai Fashion Weekend is a consumer-oriented fashion event built on the success of Shanghai Fashion Week inaugurated in April 2017. Incorporating fashion exhibition, performances, interactive activities and on-the-spot purchase opportunities, Shanghai Fashion Weekend creates a unique atmosphere as an “immersive fashion extravaganza” every April and October as part of the official programme of Shanghai Fashion Week. The first three seasons of Shanghai Fashion Weekend took place in iconic venues such as Shanghai Exhibition Centre and Shanghai Postal Museum and received around 100,000 visitors in total. Participating international designers and artists include French design legend Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, young creative genius Louis-Marie de Castelbajac, UK design wizard Gareth Pugh, Turkish artist Esna Su, UK fashion designers Georgia Hardinge and Fyodor Golan.
