Arizona Business & Education Coalition
www.azbec.orgThe Arizona Business & Education Coalition (ABEC) is the only non-partisan, statewide membership organization that brings business and education leaders together to share information and support public K-12 education in our state, with linkages to early childhood and post-secondary education. It's primary focus is to educate, collaborate and advocate with others to support a quality education system in Arizona. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it cannot support or endorse any candidate running for public office, nor can it influence the outcome of an election. ABEC advocates on behalf of the K-12 public education community, the children they serve, and the employers who need a strong, well-qualified workforce. The “voice” of ABEC includes: • Over 60 public K-12 school districts and charter schools enrolling over two-thirds of state's K-12 total student population; • Arizona-based public and private higher education institutions enrolling a combined 500,000-plus students; • Public and privately-owned businesses, associations and organizations representing approximately 2,000 Arizona businesses – large and small; and • Organizations employing well over 100,000 Arizona residents when combined. ABEC membership is comprised of organizations that want to have a positive impact on Arizona's public education system. It is entirely funded through event sponsorships, in-kind donations and membership dues. Ultimately, ABEC is that trusted, unified voice of the business and education communities that strives to better the public education system with continuous growth and achievement of ALL students and schools in Arizona.
