OpenArtExchange is an international art gallery that supports and connects Non-Western contemporary visual artists with the Western arts and culture world. We do this through international exchange programs where artists work in residency together with local artists on exhibitions and other art events, through participation in festivals and European art fairs and through our on-line network. We operate with a low cost structure and a low cost environment for our artists. In this way we aim to secure that all our artists, whether Non-Western or Western, get regular high end international exposure as well as the majority of the proceeds for their works. For collectors and art lovers we are a gallery where you can meet (inter)national artists and other art lovers, experience and buy a great variety of high quality contemporary art, which changes every 6-8 weeks. Through our thematic exhibitions and side events at our center, which do not shun cross-overs with other art disciplines like performing arts or poetry, you can explore 450 m2 of art from different cultures and disciplines, with an overweight in African art. By invitation you can get free access to and meet us at one of the European art fairs or make an appointment for personal viewings and/or advice with us at our office in Huizen, our center in Schiedam or another location of your choosing.
