Launched by R20 - Regions of Climate Action and EGIS in 2017, the Waste Project Facilitator (WPF) is an innovative financial mechanism to facilitate the feasibility studies of the most promising waste projects. It opens up the pipeline of investment-ready waste projects by bringing the expertize for the feasibility studies needed by investors and developers. The WPF is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals and ensures a strong monitoring of the environmental, social and economical impact of the projects undertaken with recognized standards. WPF experts and project developers work hand in hand to ensure the delivery of feasibility studies and seek for the most sustainable options, thus promoting new best practices regarding waste management. The burden of managing waste can be transformed into a valuable activity creating jobs and improving the global resource management.
