NAPCO, located in Sparta, North Carolina was founded by Rocky Proffit in 1977 after graduating from Appalachian State University. From an 1,800 square-foot garage, NAPCO began manufacturing boxes and custom packaging products. With Rocky’s unrelenting commitment to excellence in quality and customer service, NAPCO grew to become the leading provider of custom packaging using rigid board construction in the industry. Vulcan Information Packaging was founded by EBSCO Industries in 1947 to manufacture single-copy magazine binders for medical waiting rooms. Vulcan grew to become one of the largest loose-leaf binder and packaging manufacturers in the United States. Operating in a manufacturing facility with over 200,000 square-foot of space located in Vincent, Alabama. NAPCO acquired Vulcan Information Packaging in 2017 and both companies now operate under the same NAPCO brand and can now produce more packaging products than ever in our history.
