Munck Íslandi ehf is a young Icelandic construction and contracting company with a powerful team of employees that have considerable and varied experience of managing large projects within leading construction companies in Iceland, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Norway and Denmark. Munck Íslandi (as LNS Saga) was established in October 2013 and was then a subsidiary of the Norwegian company Leonhard Nilsen & Sønner AS. LNS Saga was sold to Danish MUNCK Group in December 2016 whereafter the name was changed to Munck Íslandi. Munck íslandi had approx.400 employees working on projects in Iceland and partly in Norway. The current Norwegian projects consist mainly on tunneling completion work. Current projects in Iceland include power plant projects, tunneling-coastal-and road work, industrial concrete work on Silicon Metal plant, appartment buildings, warehoue construction, schoolbuildings and Nursery home buildings. Munck Íslandi aims to participate in projects in the Arctic as the Iceland, Norway, Faroe Islands and Greenland. Munck Íslandi´s goal is to be among the leading construction companies in Iceland. The company will continue to participate in tenders for larger scale projects as development and construction of apartment- and commercial buildings, industrial- and power plant projects, tunnel- and roadwork projects and harbor and coastal projects.
