SACID work towards an inclusive South Australian community by - ensuring people with intellectual disability have a strong voice in all we do - engaging in systemic advocacy to uphold the rights of people with intellectual disability - ensuring people have access to easy to understand information - ensuring the voice of South Australians with intellectual disability is heard on a national level through our affiliation with Inclusion Australia We are a state-wide service and can be contacted via phone, email, website and social media. SA Inclusion Point: SACID provide a free information service called SA Inclusion Point. This is for people with intellectual disability, their families and the wider community. If you need information that is easier to understand, are seeking advice or want to learn more about intellectual disability – contact us! SACID run free information sessions and workshops for people with intellectual disability and their families. We also develop and share easy to understand information and resources. SACID have information and workshops for mainstream services to help the wider community learn how they can be more inclusive of people with intellectual disability. Peer Action Groups: People with intellectual disability can get involved in Peer Action Groups that work on projects to make their communities more inclusive. SACID is an incorporated body and a registered Australian charity.
