The purpose of Basketball X is twofold: Provide an opportunity for the local community at all levels, age and gender, to participate in a 3×3 competition, as an alternative to, and complimentary to 5 on 5 competitions. 3×3 is considered the number one urban team sport. The rules are very simple and designed to make it a fast, spectacular and exciting game that brings with it an authentic urban culture atmosphere. For the young it’s a great way to develop 1 on1, 2 on 2, and 3 on 3 skills in a controlled competitive environment – with coaches almost in the thick of the action. For the more mature athlete it provides a highly competitive competition where everyone is involved – no more running the lanes only to see one pass and one shot!
