FP YOUTHOUTCRY Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) 3, non-profit organization Newark,NJ. Founded in 2006 by Al-Tariq Best, a native of Newark. FP YOUTHOUTCRY is one of the more progressive non-profits in the city and has impacted the lives of more than 10,000 children and families with innovative programming and events. Their motto is “Entertain, Educate and Empower and they have done that with great success. • Rhymes4Reasons (R4R) -a mentor based program providing an introduction to music industry practices and production • My Thoughts Out Loud (MTOL) -a traveling Youth Summit providing a forum for youth to express their concerns and receive guidance on topics around housing issues, public safety, education, jobs/job readiness, etc • Families Involved in Structured Transitions (FIST) -designed and tailored to meet the needs of youth and families within public housing and other underserved communities. FP YOUTHOUTCRY Foundation, Inc has received numerous awards and accolades for outstanding community engagement and for the positive impact their programs have on youth and families.
