MNS (Mauritius Network Services Ltd) was created in April 1994 by the Government of Mauritius to set up Information Systems to improve trade and business facilitation in Mauritius. The initial mandate was to implement the TradeNet Single Window, and develop a Customs Management System (CMS), which was cited in the UN/CEFACT Recommendation No. 33 on National Single Window (2005). Over the years, as a trusted partner working closely with Government, MNS has developed solutions that enhanced the effectiveness of government services in other areas such as e-tax collection, business facilitation, global business and finance. These initiatives have improved the ease and cost of doing business in Mauritius, and sharpened the country’s overall global competitiveness.
