The Centre for Automotive Safety Research is part of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology (@UofA_SET) within the University of Adelaide. Our 22 staff consists of a multi-disciplinary team of academics and professionals who seek to understand the complexity of road crashes, with the ultimate goal of eliminating harm from our road system. Our vehicle testing laboratory, conveniently located 10 minutes away from Adelaide CBD, in Kent Town, focusses on the safety aspects of vehicles especially new technologies as advanced driver assistance systems are becoming more common in our vehicle fleet and significantly increase safety on our roads.
