KLJ Way was founded in April 2018. It stands to tell the story and uphold the legacy of Kearns-Louis Jean by promoting academic enrichment in the field of STEM for minorities in underserved communities. KLJ Way focuses on servicing minorities with the hope to increase their educational opportunities, and change the representation of minorities currently within STEM. Through the mission that Kearns already envisioned, we provide scholarships, to make college more affordable and remove an overbearing hurdle. It is a goal of ours to increase the achievement rate of STEM graduates that will move on to pursue a professional career in their field of study for both men and women of color.
