We Are Kenya's mission is to partner with current resources in Kenya to provide food, clothing, shelter, and education to those in need. Currently we are partnering with Provision Education Center in Soweto, Kenya. Soweto is located on the east side of Nairobi. It is a large slum facing many issues dealing with poverty and health. Many children have only one or no parents. These parents want to work and leave the house each day hoping to earn less than a dollar. Education is free in Kenya, but there is no government sponsored school in Soweto. Parents who desire to send their child to school often cannot, because the cost for the required uniform, shoes, and school supplies is simply too much. Many children only get fed if Provision Education Center provides a meal. Sometimes that need is not met.
