Freeheart Creative
www.freeheartcreative.comFreeheart Creative documents and shares the brave stories of female trailblazers to inspire leaders to make an impact on the world. Through our Emmy nominated documentary series, Seeing Brave, and accompanying workshops, we leverage the power of story to drive people to action. Co-founders Dana Michelle Cook and Katie Wilkes started Freeheart based on what they saw missing in their former careers. Dana, a television producer and filmmaker, knew women deserved to be portrayed as empowering solution builders - not reality TV clickbait. Katie, a humanitarian and spokesperson for the world's largest humanitarian relief agency network, knew stories of hope needed to be brought to the forefront of our lives, not hidden behind death toll headlines. Together, we specialize in reinforcing connection and worthiness through the power of brave storytelling based on real-world examples. Featured in Forbes, Elle and alongside events with Chelsea Handler, we know everyday impact goes a long way to creating solutions around the world. Our three-part documentary series and corresponding workshops are also incorporated in both public and private Chicagoland schools alongside award-winning mindfulness and movement partners and instructors.
