Horizon House provides direct support to persons who are homeless, connecting our neighbors with comprehensive services to empower them to find and maintain housing and meet life's critical needs. Our work is rooted in the recognition of individual strengths and needs and the values of hospitality, respect and dignity. Horizon House embodies the belief that all human beings have the right to have their basic needs for food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and personal safety met in a dignified, humane and caring manner that respects a person's right to self-determination. We believe it takes a collaborative community response to uphold and give substance to these basic rights. We commit to being a focal point in this endeavor, offering our services and advocacy in a spirit of genuine hospitality and professional care. Horizon House is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization owned and operated by a community Board of Directors. Horizon House is not a government program or entitlement. It has no religious affiliation or requirements for service and is committed to a spirit of hospitality to all and to its mission.
