Established in 1996, the Norman Economic Development Coalition (NEDC) is a joint effort of the University of Oklahoma, the City of Norman, Moore Norman Technology Center and the Sooner Centurions, a committee of the Norman Chamber of Commerce. This unique partnership was formed to work full time on economic development in the Norman community. Primary Areas of Activity: - Support business retention and the expansion of locally based employment centers - Support business creation and technology commercialization - Support needed product improvements including specific business climate and infrastructure changes - Attract desirable new employment centers that complement existing employer base
