We foster the ideal learning experience by striking the balance between business-like organization and open collaboration that will excite and activate. Business structure is needed for efficiency. Titles and hierarchy streamline the decision making process, providing accountability for students. As per the FIRST mission, not only do we foster interest in the engineering field but also instill life values in students. Creating a business-like organization provides students with unique experiences that will be applicable throughout life. Skills such as communication, professionalism, and responsibility are promoted and valued. We also see it as our responsibility to bring STEM education to all walks of life. We have established a comprehensive diversity plan which looks to use the robot as a tool in exciting students about learning. Our team already has quantitative evidence in achieving one of our pillar goals. We are proud to announce that we are approaching a 50:50 girl to boy ratio.
