On September 21, 2017, The Pennsylvania Department of Health approved Dr. Kelly Greenland to be the first female owner-operator of a Medical Marijuana analytical testing laboratory in the country. The State of PA has made an extraordinary breakthrough for women in science by becoming the first state in the union to approve a female operator. Dr. Greenland is a Pennsylvania native, with family ties dating back to the revolution. Dr. Greenland is a product of the State College Area School District and alumnus of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a doctorate from City College Of New York. Dr. Greenland’s background is in experimental bio-physics, and she has had an extensive research career using much of the equipment and techniques necessary in the MMJ Field. The Laboratory also believes in promoting educational opportunities in the science field to deserving youth. As such, it will be offering scholarships which students may use in further academic careers. Additionally, the Laboratory will seek to provide internships and observations to local college and university students in the scientific fields. We are extremely excited to officially announce that Keystone State Testing is the first laboratory in world to be awarded the coveted ASA (Americans for Safe Access) certification. Keystone State Testing is the first Laboratory in the world to successfully complete this accreditation program. The Program puts forward a new standard of excellence in safety testing, transparency, and accuracy while creating a patient focused continuum.
