Larchmont Shore Club

A place rich in history with a modern approach to the private shore club lifestyle, Larchmont Shore Club, with its Gatsby-era clubhouse, stands out on the shores of New York’s Long Island Sound. The Larchmont Shore Club's Clubhouse was built in 1906 as the private residence of Amy Crocker. Miss Crocker was the youngest daughter of Judge E.B. Crocker, the founder of the Southern Pacific Railroad. She called it "La Hacienda" and it stood on seventeen pristine acres. Upon her marriage to Mr. Jackson Gourand in 1914, Aimee moved to Paris and the house was sold to Rudolf Schaefer, the owner of New York's Schaefer Brewery. Upon Mr. Schaefer’s passing in 1923, Emile, Rudy's older son, lived here with his bride, Helene, until 1925 when the property was purchased by the founding members of the Club. All but the Club's Grill Room and Main Dining Room are part of the original house. Today, the Larchmont Shore Club is a home away from home for more than 500 member families, who enjoy a broad array of activities across the Club's 7 acres, including indoor and outdoor A La Carte Dining, Live Music, Beach & Pool, Tennis, Sailing, Children's Summer Camp, Bowling and a vibrant social calendar of events. Our public LinkedIn account is an opportunity for current and former members and employees of LSC to connect and communicate professionally. Information about club activities, news, etc. are available to members via the Club website, app, newsletter, and private social media channels. Membership is by invitation/member referral only. For private information related to the Larchmont Shore Club, members are encouraged to follow LSC on Instagram and/or Facebook.
