PSE Kinsale Energy Limited, (formerly Marathon Oil Ireland Limited), has been producing natural gas from its facilities off the Old Head of Kinsale since 1978. The company was acquired by PETRONAS in April 2009 and currently employs 59 people. We operate the Kinsale Head, Ballycotton and Seven Heads Gas Fields in the Celtic Sea. We also operate a natural gas storage field (Southwest Kinsale) and we will be seeking to expand the gas storage business over the coming years. PETRONAS was incorporated in 1974 as the National Oil Company of Malaysia and has now developed into a fully integrated oil and gas organisation, taking them to more than 30 countries around the world. PETRONAS is currently ranked among the Fortune Global 500 largest corporations in the world.
