What does it mean to live consciously? At WEHVE, we believe it starts with everyday decisions, like what to wear. It means asking where your favorite garments come from–who made it, what is their story, or rather, what is their history? WEHVE designs functional, beautiful, and ethically produced wool textiles made to last, made to live in. The WEHVE mission is two-fold: first, to preserve the profound knowledge passed down through ancestral traditions of weaving, and second, to share and enjoy these skills in timeless pieces produced as sustainably and ethically as possible. We make hand-loomed blankets, wraps, and shawls in merino wool from pasture-roaming sheep. We combine the merino wool with silk, cotton, and linen. The pieces feature bright colours, statement trims and fringes, and graphical patterns. WEHVE collections are built with a technical eye. Founder Gesine Holschuh serves on the board of Fairtrade Belgium and holds an MBA degree from INSEAD. She has worked at the intersection of social impact and business for 10 years with a focus on women's empowerment. Holschuh personally knows every stakeholder in the supply chain, from the shepherds to the weavers and dyers. WEHVE textiles are timeless investment pieces.
