It’s an interesting experience, watching a practice you adopted long ago ride high on the wave of popular appeal. It’s also common knowledge that trends don’t last. Unfortunate, then, that we’ll be out of fashion again soon. Turn your head, and country of origin won’t matter as much anymore. We’ll be “so 2011.” Moment will still make skis one pair at a time, by hand, using the same North American materials and top-quality wood from sustainably managed forests. Stuck in a rut, stubborn to the last. Old fashioned and out-of-date. Played, son. Bummer. We’ll just do our thing and hope for the best, fingers crossed that a few enthusiasts of handmade, American-made skis remain. We’ll keep it up so you can keep getting out on the mountain and getting rad. We’ll keep it blue collar, shaving just enough off the top for ramen noodles and the occasional back-lot block party. And we promise to keep our hands out of the stock market and deep in the scene instead. Why? Because we’re all about you, and this is your Moment.
