Hammertech is now introducing the AquaField™ water fraction and water conductivity meter for multiphase applications. The key application for AquaField™ is to detect changes in the water production from any individual well. The “one AquaField™ pr. well”-application is made possible by the low cost of AquaField™ both in acquisition and in operation. AquaField™ provides key information to the operator about irregularities in the production from a well, and enables increased oil production and contributes to substantial reduction of, or possibly eliminates, the need for well testing. Key benefits of deploying AquaField™: • Provides real time water content and water conductivity measurement in multiphase flow • Provides trending of water production on each individual well • Enables immediate identification of water or gas breakthrough • Enables immediate counteraction to water or gas breakthrough • All the above results in reduced water production • Reduced water volume in pipes and tanks enables increased oil production • Enables reduced well test frequencies, hence reduced cost • Changes in the produced water conductivity indicates that there is a new water source in the well, possibly due to water breakthrough from water injection wells, or leakage from another formation/reservoir, or other events in the geology.
