Sam@heroshotphotography.com 0422 296 313 A bit about Sammer... In 2008 Sammer started his own photography business in the U.K, specialising in high-end residential developments. This was the start of making a career out of his passion. Two years later with his two loves; his wife and his camera, Sammer set sail for Asia and traveled to nine countries in nine months eventually ending in Australia. At the age of 31 and in a new country, starting again from scratch seemed like a daunting task but Sammer was determined to build up his client base in Australia and started freelancing as a photographer. During the week he worked at a large portrait studio in Sydney and on the weekend in a second studio. Whilst these studios provided great work, both were constantly chasing new business and he could see the low referral rate was due to a lack of personal approach and the heavy price tag that came with the images. In 2015 Hero Shot Photography was born and in under a year, more than half of all Sammer’s business came from referrals, from people who had experienced his service first hand. A hero shot is the perfect image. It’s that one shot where everything just clicks – lighting, composition, the subject – even if just for the briefest moment.
